TASK 8: LEADERSHIP - ANALYST

Hello everybody!!!

I´m Bernabe, the analyst this week.

In this week we have learnt about leadership teams. We were focus on leadership team aplicated to education. There are four types of leadership team: the transformational the transanctional, the participative and authoritarian leadership teams.

One of the most interesting things that we have to do in this activity was to create a fakebook account, it was interestig because we used it in class like a profile of our representat at class.
On the other hand, the worse moment of the activity was to coordinate with other groups. When our leader had to the representation with the leader of other group to represent one candidature. I think that it is the worse moment because she was  nervous but she felt more relaxed during the exposition of the leadership.Furthermore we helped them in order to prepare the task so we trusted in her.
During the exposition Grace and Noelia defended the Participative leadership in a good way.Congratulations girls!!

This week I have to recognize that we have worked in a good way and this is something very positive as a group and that we have to conserve for next years becasue as we know this is the last activity in the subject School Organization and Educational Resources.
But not only that,I am really sure that if we compare the beginnings of Busy Bees until now we can realize that it has occured many changes(all of them positives) in order to improve.Activity by activity we have tried to do as better as possible being motivated and loving the things that we do,something that is very important to understand in a good way the subject.

To sum up,I would like to say that this last task about leadership is related to social connections. As we know,we live in a society in which we can find different leaderships and depending on people that one of them applies or not.For example in a work:if the boss want to be successful in his/her business he or she takes a kind of leadership  in order to act with his/her subordinates.Depending on the kind of leadership chosen the productivity will increase or not and subordinates will feel more motivated or on the contrary they will feel repressed. So people have to be consciousness about what leader they want and how it affects them.

This is all for today!!

TASK 8: LEADERSHIP - FACILITATOR

HELLO EVERYBODY!!

I am María, the facilitator of this week.

I really enjoy this role because I like to organize the work and to be concerned in the task.

This task is about the different kind of leaderships. There are four main leaderships;
-Authoritarian leader
-Participative leader
-Transactional leader
-Transformational leader

We have to search information and to do four "fakebooks" for representing these leaderships.

How was the organization?

On Monday Linda said us this task, so in couples we search the information for each leadership.
-Authoritarian leader: Yolanda and Ana
-Participative leader: Miriam and Gracia
-Transactional leader: María and María José
-Transformational leader: Bernabé and Ainhoa

Each couple did both information: Why people have to vote this kind of leadership? Why you don't have to vote to the rest of leaderships?

Also, on Thursday we took four different photos for representing them and we put in Fakebook. At the weekend we helped with the entire information to our star Gracia.

Finally, on Monday we represent all the task with a funny play and we learned so much about the different kinds of leaderships.

See you soon Bees!!!!

Task 8 (Leadership) Star

Hello!!!! The star is here!!!!!

I am Gracia and in the last task week I have been the star of busy bees!! This morning, the first thing that we have done has been choose a number and Linda have given to the star of each group a role and then we have met with the other group that has the same role as us. My group, Busy Bees, has worked with Meerkats, which star has been Noelia Abellan.

We have been looking for the profiles of the the other groups and then speaking about the good things of our kind of leadership, in our case the Participative Leader.

Rebeca, the star of Power Teachers has been the moderator of the debate that we  have done. She and her group has written four interesting questions that later we have to answer. In the debate we have answer the questions and listen to the other couples answering the same questions, Each person had one minute to answer and I have to say that it has been a bit difficult in two aspects, on one hand, in some questions it was a bit difficult not repeat the same things that my partner have said and on the other hand, in other questions it was difficult to conver the entire minute because my partner have already said all the things, but we have tried to give the best of us!!!!

When we have finished to answer the questions, Linda have said us if we have done it good.
In my opinion, this activity has been very useful because I am sure that the most of us did not know the different kind of leadership and it has been very interesting a different from the others.

Here you can see a photo of me this morning with some papers that my group have done to encougare us!!!

To sum up... this morning we have done a really interesting task and obviously we have learn too how to select the most important information when we have little time to talk!!

And now... you can see here the URL of the profiles of partivipative leader of all the grops!!

http://www.classtools.net/FB/1590-xvj34k Keep Calm and keep organized

All the profiles are very interesting.. visit them!!!

And finally, the URL of our four profiles:

The Transactional Leadership

Authoritative Leadership

Participative Leadership

Transformational Leadership

And finally, in our opinion the better kind of leadership is.....

PARTICIPATIVE LEADER!!! Not because we have done it but because we think that this kind of leadership is the most effective because the solutions are found with the opinions of all the people and workers feel motivated and integrated because they see that they have an important role in the decisions.

Task 8 (leadership) - Journalist

Do you need some photos???

Hello Beeeeeees!! I'm Miriam and this week I'm the Journalist of my group BusyBees!

We are finally in the last week of our course because the summer is coming! :). As you know, I like this role because I love taking photos and summarizing the process that we have followed.

According to our task that we had to do this week, it is related with the leadership and we had to develop four types of leaderships and we created a Fakebook page.
-Authoritarian leader
-Participative leader
-Transactional leader
-Transformational leader

On Monday, when Linda explained to us the task, we decided to divide the work. We are 8 so we established to do groups of 2 in order to realise the Fakebook and search information about our leader.

Here you have the division of the work:
-Authoritarian: Yoli and Ana
-Participative: Gracia and Miriam
-Transactional: Maria José and María
-Transformational: Ainhoa and Berna

On Tuesday, when we already had all the information searched, we put everything in common with our partner and we started to do the Fakebook.  It has been difficult to meet because we will start with exams next week and we are so nervous about it.

Here you have our Fakebook pages:
-Authoritarian:
-Transactional:
-Transformational:

On Thursday, we decided to do in the School Organization's hour the photographies of the leaders and we edited it with Photoshop in order to put them similar. We did them with a position of the body determined to better represent our leader.
Here you have a collage with our photos:

On Monday, when the class began, Linda explained the ''play'' that we have to do. She divided the leaderships among the different groups in class and we had to do a common profile with Meerkats about the Participative leader. We had to play ''bad policeman and the good policeman'' and we had to create the feeling of ''an elections'' (WE ARE BETTER THAN THE OTHERS''). One group is the moderator and they did four questions to do a debate.
We have had a very good time doing this activity and we learned a lot about the different types of leaders.

In order to accomplish the second part of my role, I have to search and comment two blogs, one from inside our class and other from outside our class:

Inside our class, I decided to comment Meerkat’s blog because we have worked with them so good and they are very organized. Their blog presents all so clear and everything is well-structured. So well done! It has been a pleasure to work with you!

From outside our class, I decided to comment a blog that I have found about the leadership, concretely I like a post about the differences of transformational leadership and transactional leadership and it is very well structured and organized.

Task 8. Leadership (Translator).

DO YOU NEED THE MEANINGS OF THE WORDS?
I'M HERE FOR HELPING YOU ;)

Hi bloggers,
María Jose is here again working as translator. This is the last time that I am going to work with this role and for me it has been a good experience working not only in this role but in general. I hope through my posts you realized the work that I have to do each week with motivation and trying to improve for doing it as better as possible. It has been a pleasure sharing with you this journey in the subject School Organization and Educational Resources and I hope of being able to  applicate all the knowledge that I have learnt for being better as a future teacher.
After this briefly farewell discourse, I am going to do my role that is to give you the most important words that we have learnt this week with the last task that is about LEADERSHIP:

Leadership is the ability to communicate with a group of people having an influence in their emotions trying that the team or group works with motivation in order to accomplish the goals or objectives.
Within of the leaderships we can distinguish different types:

Authoritative leadership
This kind of leadership is directed by a leader who controls all the things that occurs ordering and requiring to his/her subordinates who can‘t  express their ideas about the work. This leadership is very repressing .

Participative leadership
One of the most important things in this kind of leadership is the participation of all group. The leader promote dialogue with the goal of taking decisions together and reaching a conclusion about any work.

Transformational leadership
The leader and the subordinates increase the level of morality and motivation. This kind of leadership is not based in reward and punishment, on the contrary, the leader says to their subordinated what they have to do because the work that they do is for improving as a group.
This kind of leadership is related to the emotional intelligence of the leader and their followers.

Transactional leadership.
This kind of leadership is based in reward and punishment. The leader says to their subordinates what they have to do and they have liberty in order to think some ideas to the work taking the appropriated decisions. The leader supervises the work that they have done. If they have done a good work they will be rewarded (they obtain a reward) but if they have not done a good work , the leader will punish them.
